Relicensing VMR's in the new year

I have 3 VMRs currently that allow us to connected all our companies VC rooms which use SIP connection from polycom and yealink VC units. What VMR can I renew use with Pexip for my requirement into the future?

Hi Raven, your Pexip partner should be able to assist you in the quantities that currently have and need. Platform licensing can differ greatly between customers.

The easiest thing to do is log into your management node and navigate to Platform>Licenses in navigation menu. You will then see the type and quantity of licenses your system has. VMRs are typically sold in blocks rather than individually (Example - 500 VMRs). The other important licensing factor are your “port licenses” for calling into those VMRs. These port license determine how many concurrent connections (room systems or web) you can have at any given time on the platform.

You may also want to check if you have any additional licenses for Teams interoperability or One Touch Join, for example. These are services that have their own licenses and will also be shown in the licensing page. In your case if you only need 3 VMRs, but need 10 devices to connect all at the same time, you’d typically want the block of VMR licenses, then 10-20 port licenses for the concurrent connections.

Once you confirm your current licenses and how many you need moving forward, you can connect with your partner or Pexip on ensuring you get the correct ones for your renewal.
