We are facing outage whenever our pexipconfnode goes into Maintenace mode. We have hosted pexip in azure instance. Whenever we received metadata notification from Microsoft on Maintenace activity in any VM, our India pexip node goes into maintenance mode causing complete shutdown of VC services. Need help how to avoid such occurrence.
This is an expected response to Azure freeze events, which are normal within your Azure VM SLA.

You could either add more conference nodes into an availability set and operate them as a cluster. Or, you could use the disable_scheduled_events_caused_maintenance_mode tag on your VM, setting it to true. Azure will still conduct their planned maintenance on the virtual machine in question, but it that tag will prevent conferencing nodes from entering maintenance for a scheduled freeze. This will likely result in ungraceful disruptions to ongoing calls that your conference node is handing, but at least it prevents a prolonged maintenance mode outage.
